It was released on <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/November_24" title="November 24">November 24</a>, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1987" title="1987">1987</a>. <i>Make It Last Forever</i> is considered one of the most popular and well-known albums of the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_jack_swing" title="New jack swing">New jack swing</a> era of R&B.</p> <p>The album's biggest hit was "I Want Her", a #5 hit on the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billboard_Hot_100" title="Billboard Hot 100">Billboard Hot 100</a>. Dès son plus jeune âge c’est le saxophone qui l’attire mais les professeurs du conservatoire de sa ville (Viry-Chatillon) pensaient qu’il était trop jeune, c’est donc en 96 qu’il commença à jouer de cet instrument après 3 ans de flûte à bec avec Meillanne Wilmot. En avril elle lui conseille un stage de musique du monde organisé à Villebon-Sur-Yvette sous la direction de Philippe Bonnaud. C’est une révélation et Daasiq participera a 11 stages EOLOC-ICABLOC en 11 ans. En 98 il découvre le Hip-Hop au collège avec des artistes comme Oxmo Puccino, Shurik'N, I Am, Arsenik, Sléo ou NAP. 3 ans plus tard, Entre 2 et 3 lui transmet le gout du groove et du live. Le 16 juin 2001 il décroche son entrée en 3e cycle de Saxophone Alto. A la rentrée Raphael se sent un peu perdu et a du mal à s'intégrer dans un si grand lycée. Son frère lui fait découvrir le R&amp;B avec 8701, Born To Do It, The Life et Unleash The Dragon, c'est un véritable coup de foudre, la médiathèque qui vient d'ouvrir à côté de chez lui lui permet d'enrichir sa culture musicale avec Marvin, Curtis, Stevie mais aussi Vibe ou Prince. Le séjour linguistique qu'il entreprend à 16 ans à Malte avec son frère et un ami d'enfance est une véritable bouffée d'oxygène.
